The Solution to Your Eating Problems Is More Obvious Than You Think

I have two things to share with you today:

 

1) I've been re-reading one of my favorite books on untangling the relationship we have with food and our bodies, Women, Food and God by Geneen Roth. 

 

What I enjoy most about re-reading this book, is that I made notations in it the first time I read it. And each time I go back, I get to revisit these highlighted passages through a new, updated lens.

 

Sometimes the highlights don't seem as thought provoking or interesting as they must have been the first time I experienced them.

 

And other times they hit just as powerfully, if not more.

 

This passage is one of those that always hits home.

I encourage you to reflect on the ways are giving away your power.

 

Where are you claiming "there's nothing you can do", or "that's just the way things are/you are"?

 

And then challenge yourself by asking, "Is that true?"

 

"Is this completely outside of my control?"
