My husband and I went camping this past weekend, and it was exactly what I needed: quiet mornings, relaxing nights around the campfire, no devices, no notifications. Just a chance to unplug and breathe.

But when we got home on Sunday?
That’s when reality set back in.
The car had to be unloaded.
Our tent and gear had to go back into storage.
The dogs were covered in dirt and desperately needed baths.
By the end of it all, the last thing I wanted to do was spend three hours in the kitchen chopping vegetables and portioning out meals into individual Tupperware containers.
And here’s the difference between me now and me ten years ago:
I didn’t feel stressed about skipping the sacred Sunday meal prep. Not even a little.
Why? Because I’ve learned that being healthy isn’t about adding more and more to your already full plate.
It’s about asking better questions:
➡️ How can I get the result I want with less effort?
➡️ How can I make this easier, not harder?
I don’t need to force myself through a marathon prep session. I don’t need a color-coded meal plan taped to my fridge.
Instead, I rely on simple systems that make healthy eating fit into my life:
A stocked freezer and pantry. I always have proteins, veggies, and pantry staples ready to mix and match.
Go-to meal formulas. A few easy frameworks I know I love, so I can plug in whatever ingredients I have on hand, no recipe required.
Mini preps during the week. Cook a double batch of quinoa and freeze half. Chop a few veggies between client calls. Throw chicken in the slow cooker while making breakfast. Tiny things that make everything else easier.
So even without a big Sunday prep, I know I’ll eat well this week.
And that’s the piece I want you to hear most: you don’t need to keep adding “more” in order to be healthy.
You need systems that let you do less…and still get the results you want.
