You’ve tried cutting carbs.
You’ve tried eating every 3 hours.
You’ve tried “only eat when you’re hungry.”
But you most likely haven't tried asking yourself:
👉 HOW do I decide what to eat?
Because, when it comes to reaching your health and weight loss goals,
It’s not just what you eat that matters.
It’s how you think about what you eat.
And here’s where most diets fall short:
They train you to follow rules, not to build skills.
They teach you:
❌ Always say no to cookies
❌ Always eat 3 meals a day
❌ Always eat every 3–4 hours
But none of that helps when real life happens.
When you’re at a party. Or stressed at work. Or home alone with a box of cookies.
If the only way you can “eat healthy” is by avoiding certain foods or situations…
You’re not building freedom. You’re building fear.
👉 Real progress comes when you learn how to make food decisions based on your values and context, not just rules.
Sometimes, saying yes to a cookie is healthy.
Sometimes, saying no to a cookie is healthy.
But ALWAYS saying yes or no?
That’s not health. That’s rigidity.
And if you've struggled to stick to healthy eating habits in the past,
You don’t need more food rules.
You need a more flexible mindset around food.
So how do you start building that?
Here’s one skill to practice this week:
🧠 Pause before you eat and ask: “What do I need right now—physically, mentally, emotionally?”
Sometimes you’ll realize you need fuel.
Sometimes it will be connection, rest, or relief from boredom.
This one question helps you separate food decisions from emotional reactions.
It helps you respond instead of react.
And it’s one of many “thinking skills” I teach inside the Empowered Eating Blueprint,
Because real behavior change starts in your brain.
If you’ve struggled to stay consistent,
It’s probably not because you lack willpower.
It’s because you’ve been taught to follow rigid rules instead of building real decision-making skills.
