A flat lay of a “meal of snacks”

Why You Need an “In-Case-of-Emergency” Meal Plan

November 13, 20252 min read

Most meal plans are built for the best-case scenario—the weeks when your schedule is predictable, your fridge is full, and your energy is high. But real life rarely works that way. Between late nights, travel, and “I can’t even” days, you need backup options that don’t rely on willpower or motivation. That’s where an in-case-of-emergency meal plan comes in. Think of it as your nutritional safety net—a collection of simple, quick-cook or no-cook foods you always keep on hand so you can stay consistent even when everything else feels chaotic.

The past couple of weeks have been…a lot.

I’ve been wrapping up my new Capsule Cooking mini course (!!!), finishing a few home projects, and getting everything organized before we head off for almost a month of travel.

It’s exciting. But also chaotic.

And this is the exact kind of season when most women’s eating habits start to unravel.

Because most plans are built for the best case scenario.

They work when your schedule is calm, your fridge is stocked, and you have time to do a full grocery shop and prep.

But when life gets messy?

Those plans fall apart.

And then you start thinking things like:

“I just need to try harder.”

“I’ll get back on track when things calm down.”

“I’ll prep extra next weekend to make up for it.”

But the problem isn’t that you can’t stick to a plan.

And it’s not that you’re undisciplined.

👉 It’s that you only have one version of a plan.

Most women create a plan for the best case — when time, energy, and motivation are high — and then wonder why it falls about when life gets chaotic.

The solution isn’t waiting until life calms down.

It’s building a second plan for when it doesn’t.

Because you can’t design a backup system when your brain is already overloaded.

You have to build it ahead of time, before you need it.

That’s what I’ve been leaning on lately.

I haven’t had time for a big grocery trip or long prep sessions, but because I’ve already set up simple “Plan B” systems, I don’t have to think about what’s for dinner.

My freezer is stocked.

My pantry has all the basics.

And I’ve got quick-cook and grab-and-go options that still make me feel good...even when my schedule doesn’t.

Because the real key to consistency isn’t having perfect weeks.

It’s having a plan that can handle the imperfect ones.

And that’s exactly what you’ll build inside Capsule Cooking.

You’ll learn how to design a flexible meal system that works when you have time, and still works when you don’t — so no matter what life looks like, you can feel grounded, nourished, and in control.

Doors open next week, but for now, get on the waitlist so you don’t miss your early access (and special bonuses!).
