The ONE Question You Need to Ask Yourself in Order to Reach Your Goals
"To ask the right question is already half the solution of a problem." — Carl Jung
Last week I wrote about how often I get asked "does (current diet trend) work?".
Which is just one of the many questions Well Intentioned Women make the mistake of asking at the start of their health journey.
If you read last week's email, then you know that pretty much EVERYTHING works...at first.
So that question isn't very helpful.
What's more helpful is to ask "Will X work for me?".
But even then, that question falls a little short.
Because, in order to answer it...you'd still need to ask yourself a few more questions.
Questions about what compromises you are or are not willing to make.
Questions about your preferences and skillset.
Questions about how much time, energy and resources you have at your disposal.
As you're reading, you might be noticing a trend here...
👉 Asking yourself clarifying questions is important.
Because your success is directly related to the quality of the questions you ask yourself.
And one of the MOST valuable questions to ask yourself isn't about which diet trend you should or shouldn't do,
It's about exposing the reasons why you aren't ALREADY doing the things you say you want to do.
You say that you want to wake up earlier so that you have time to journal...but you're still hitting snooze and starting everyday feeling frazzled...
You say that you want to exercise after work 3x/week...but you're still vegging out in front of the TV while your gym bag is tucked away in the back of your closet...
You say that you want to eat healthier...but you're still ordering DoorDash instead of defrosting that chicken breast you have in the freezer...
So,
👉 What's getting in the way of making these things happen?
THAT'S the money question.
Yet it's one that most Well Intentioned Women never ask themselves.
Instead, they bounce around from diet trend to diet trend thinking that they just need to find the "right" one for them.
But all they are really doing is setting themselves up to repeat the same pattern over and over again,
Because they never get to the root of why they didn't follow through with the last plan, or the one before that, or the one before that...
They never asked themselves what was getting in the way.
👉 And this is where coaching comes in.
Because, most of the time, the thing that's getting in the way is YOU.
It's that, despite your best intentions, you continue to self-sabotage and block your own success.
But when we work together 1-on-1, you'll not only know exactly what to do to get results,
You'll also gain the tools you need to identify and overcome the beliefs and behaviors that get in the way of you doing those things.
In short, you'll finally be able to get out of your own way.
I'm currently accepting applications for new coaching clients, but spots are limited.
